Congratulations are in order for Scripps Health San Diego, which has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as being among the nation’s best hospitals.
Scripps Health earned recognition in the following eight categories:
- Cardiology and Heart Surgery (No. 18)
- Orthopedics (No. 27)
- Diabetes and Endocrinology (No. 31)
- Gynecology (No. 32)
- Gastroenterology and GI Surgery (No. 34)
- Ears, Nose, and Throat (No. 37)
- Geriatrics (No. 39)
- Pulmonology (No. 39)

U.S News releases 25th annual survey

UC San Diego Health System and Scripps Health continued to burnish their medical reputations with a combined local record of 20 national rankings in the latest “Best Hospitals” edition of U.S. News & World Report.
Released Monday night, the annual compendium examines a host of criteria — including death rates, doctors’ opinions and use of technology — for nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide.
