Scott A. Hacker, MD
Dr. Scott Hacker was named as one of the 2015 “Top Doctors” in the annual San Diego Magazine “Physicians of Exceptional Excellence” survey.
Dr. Hacker received his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine. He went on to serve his Orthopaedic Surgery internship and residency at the University of Washington. He continued his medical training and completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Steadman-Hawkins Sports Medical Foundation as well as an Orthopaedic Research fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. This is where he studied the ability to grow and transplant cartilage. In addition, he has extensive training in bioengineering. He completed a Master’s Thesis in Engineering on the properties of meniscal tissue in addition to multiple projects including pioneering research in ACL healing and repair.
Dr. Hacker specializes in sports medicine. He currently works with the United States Olympic Team in Southern California. Dr. Hacker is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
