A Local’s Guide to the Adams Avenue Street Fair
This weekend, the 37th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair will close traffic from 32nd to 35th street and fill the avenue with lively entertainment! The Adams Avenue Street Fair 2018 is one of the largest free two-day music festivals in San Diego, celebrating the eclectic Normal Heights community. Carnival rides, delicious food vendors, and arts and crafts make this event fun for the whole family. To celebrate, we’ve compiled all you need to know to make your visit enjoyable!
When: Saturday, September 29th from 10 AM – 10 PM & Sunday, September 30th from 10 AM – 6 PM
Where: Adams Avenue, between 32nd Street and 35th Street
Here’s what to expect:
6 stages, 80 musical acts
This year the fair will feature 80 musical acts on six stages! Headliners include local garage band the Schizophonics, West London reggae/tropical pop singer Hollie Cook, salsa/Latin jazz artists Charlie Chavez and Afrotruko, and San Diego rockers Dirty Sweet. 300 arts and crafts booths
Hundreds of local businesses, organizations, and exhibitors will line seven blocks with art for the Adams Avenue street fair! Shop and support local establishments at the arts and crafts, retail, and food vendors. Many of the retail vendors offer unique, handmade goods.
1-day VIP food and drink ticket
This VIP deal is for adults only! For only $19 enjoy a meal of tacos from City Tacos, plus 4 craft beers or rum cocktails at any of the beer gardens. Tickets are limited, buy yours today.
We recommend taking public transportation, using a rideshare service, or biking to the event due to limited parking. For bikers, a designated bike valet will be offered, conveniently located at SW corner of Hawley and Adams.
