Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

The IRS is the government agency responsible for taxation and enforcement. The agency helps taxpayers understand and meet their tax responsibilities while enforcing the law with fairness and equality.  The IRS falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Treasury.
