The app works by tracking your fitness activity, and a Vizer sponsor will donate a meal to the San Diego Food Bank on your behalf for every day that you reach your activity goal. On top of having a meal donated to someone in need, you also earn reward points to use at local businesses like Empanada Kitchen, Eve Encinitas, and Native Poppy.


SWEAT is a female community-focused workout app. Workouts are led by female personal trainers and offer routines for cardio, post-pregnancy, strength training, heavy lifting, and yoga. The app also offers meal plans with shopping lists, plus a supportive forum to discuss your goals and challenges with a community of women who are also on a fitness journey.


Tracking the calories in the food you eat is a great way to ensure proper portion control, which is a big part of weight loss or maintenance. MyFitnessPal is a popular app that tracks diet and exercise. Log your daily calories easily by either scanning the barcode on packaged food, or searching their database of over 2,000,000 foods. MyFitnessPal also integrates with over 50 different apps, so if you are tracking your exercise through another app or your smartwatch, the data can sync seamlessly to help you see your daily calorie input and burn.


Track your running, bike rides, or swims on the Strava app, and also receive support from a community of like-minded people. Join challenges, make friends, and post photos to stay encouraged and receive accountability checks from your network.

Designed specifically for seniors, this app offers easy-to-follow exercise videos and 4- or 12-week programs for meditation, walking, and strength training. Exercises can be adjusted to your comfort level with just one click. The app also makes it simple to schedule activities like walking and gym visits, so you can plan your workout schedule in advance.
