San Diego Oktoberfest Events

In San Diego, many neighborhoods host their version of Oktoberfest, honoring the traditional German celebration. Oktoberfest in San Diego brings the authentic feel of celebrating in Munich, offering delicious German food, family-friendly activities, and festive music. No matter where you’re located in San Diego, there will be a celebration nearby!

 

Where to Celebrate Oktoberfest in San Diego:

 

  • Oktoberfest in El Cajon

Enjoy a weekend of authentic German food such as bratwurst, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, pretzels, and a variety of German pastries. Listen and dance to music from Baden-Württemberg, Germany by the band Guggenbach-Buam.

When: 1st weekend, Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1

2nd weekend Oct. 6, 7, and 8

Celebrating its 44th year, the La Mesa Oktoberfest will offer a weekend filled with festive entertainment, delicious food, and vendors! For children and families, there will be a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, as well as demonstrations to get everyone in the spirit.

When: Friday, Sept. 29 4:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Saturday, Sept. 30 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM

Sunday, Oct. 1st 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Where: La Mesa Village, Spring Street and La Mesa Boulevard, La Mesa, CA 91942

 

Enjoy Sunday funday with the whole family at this free event featuring authentic German music, carnival rides, and a street craft fair with over 200 vendors! This family-friendly event will also have a family zone with children’s rides and family-oriented activities. Don’t miss out on the ceremonial parade at 12:00 PM.

When: Sunday, Oct. 1 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Where: Mountain Vista Drive and El Camino Real

 

Kick off Oktoberfest with OB’s newest celebration, OktoberStretch, a mini-yoga and live music festival on Friday October 6th from noon to 6:00 PM. On Saturday, the 5th annual OB Brät Trot will take place at 9:00 AM, welcoming all ages. The 2K Family Fun Run will start at 9:00 AM and the 5K Beach Run will follow at 10:00 AM. Live performances, delicious food, and drinks will follow each run.

When: Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 7

Where: OB Pier parking lot, Newport Ave and Abbott St., Ocean Beach San Diego, 92107
