Valley Center Farmer’s Market
San Diego County’s newest farmers’ market is also Valley Center’s first! This certified farmers’ market is a weekly event with a large selection of fresh, healthy produce and food, as well as crafts. All of the produce is locally grown and harvested. Visitors at this country-themed farmers’ market may find themselves browsing through selections of hand-made bread, hummus, tamales, jams, oils, soaps and leather goods and as they listen to country music from a live performance.
Encapsulating the “wild west” spirit, this farmers’ market periodically features country dancing, a rodeo, bull riding and a petting zoo. This is definitely a unique farmers’ market!
After you’ve hit the market, take a peaceful walk around the park and gaze upon the surrounding hills or large trees. If you’re hungry, buy food at the market and have a picnic with friends or family.
Plan an afternoon outing by stopping at the Valley Center Country Farmers’ Market, then driving to the famous Bates Nut Farm, which is only 4.5 miles away.
The Valley Center Country Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Valley Center Community Hall, located at 28246 Lilac Road, Valley Center, CA.
