Dr. Robert Russo received his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine. He then completed an Internal Medicine residency at Scripps Clinic. Dr. Russo also completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Scripps Clinic.
Dr. Russo specializes in Cardiovascular Disease. His special interests include coronary artery disease, valvular and athletic heart disease, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), cardiac MRI, and the safety of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators (ICD) in the MRI environment. Dr. Russo is on medical staff at Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. He has served as the Director of the Intravascular Imaging and Cardiac MRI Programs at Scripps Clinic.
Dr. Russo has over 29 years of medical experience and he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is currently welcoming new patients.
