Dr. Matthew Hirsch is a double board-certified ear, nose and throat specialist and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Hirsch earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He subsequently completed his residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery
at the University of Louisville, followed by an accredited fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital/ Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City.
Prior to joining San Diego Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, Dr. Hirsch spent five years as
an Assistant Professor in the otolaryngology residency program at the New York Eye and
Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he played an active role in teaching residents and medical students. Dr. Hirsch joins our practice from the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Hirsch provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of otolaryngology.
He is known for his precise and thoughtful approach to both medical and surgical care,
always prioritizing patient safety and comfort. His philosophy is rooted in treating every
patient with the same care and attention he would offer his own family.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hirsch enjoys surfing, spearfishing, music and traveling—activities that reflect his appreciation for balance, focus and a well-rounded life.
