Dr. Echegoyen is a native of El Salvador and grew up in Orange County California. He attended undergraduate school at California State University Fullerton and medical school at University of California Irvine, where he completed both an MD and PhD. He finished his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California Irvine, and followed his training with a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the Shiley Eye Institute at UCSD.
Dr Echegoyen is delighted to be able to provide his services in cornea, refractive and complex cataract surgery. As a native of El Salvador, he is fluent in Spanish. Dr Echegoyen also likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters, enjoying the South Bay lifestyle visiting the beach and outdoors. He is currently accepting new patients.
