The Research Center at Allergy Partners of San Diego was established in 1986 to conduct clinical studies of new medications in the area of allergy and asthma and related fields. We are pleased to offer such clinical trials to the children and the adults of San Diego. New medications, devices, and reformulation of existing medications are all areas of our clinical trial research.

What is Clinical Research? Clinical research is carried out by all major pharmaceutical companies before full FDA approval is given to any medication combination of medications or device. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that these companies provide extensive information about the safety and effectiveness of new medications prior to their approval for use in the United States. These studies are called clinical trials.
Is it Safe? All study patients will receive an informed consent form, prior to entering a study. It describes the study and requirements of the duration of the study and the known side effects of the study medication. Your signed approval is required before starting.
Who is eligible to participate? Trials are available to the general public, our patients and their families. Studies are open to all who qualify no matter what type of insurance you may have. Participation is free of charge.
Why Participate in Research? Participants receive study-related information about their disorder and condition, medical tests, health exams, and medical advice, free of charge. Volunteers in clinical research trials, help make the development of new and better medications possible. Participants are financially compensated for their time and travel.
