Celebrating Women’s History Month in San Diego
San Diego has been home to many influential and powerful women over the years, and Women’s History Month is the perfect time to honor them! Here is a list of ways to celebrate Women’s History Month in San Diego.

The Women’s Museum of California collects and preserves artifacts demonstrating the experiences of other women in San Diego and throughout California. Be sure to check out the The Power of the Ballot Box, an exhibit celebrating the centennial of suffrage!
When: March 1, 5pm – 6:30pm, and every First Sunday of the Month
Where: Elka Yoga & Wellness Center, 4166 Voltaire St, San Diego, CA 92107
The Goddess Women Circle is an ancestral gathering where women come together on a quest for sisterhood. This event is led by Elka Haeckel who has been working with women who feel discouraged, lost,or in need of support for over 17 years.
When: March 8, 2pm – 4pm
Where: Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024
The sisterhood is a celebration and charity event to celebrate Women’s International Day. This master zumba class helps to “empower one another to lift each other up in harmony.”
19th Annual San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame
When: March 15, 2:30pm – 5pm
Where: Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, 404 Euclid Ave, 92114
Attend this event that recognizes five women from San Diego whose actions and accomplishments have visibly made a difference for women in the community. This year’s event honors Congresswoman Susan Davis, Activist Kathi Anderson, and BridgeBuilder Dr. Lupe Buell, among other trailblazing San Diego women.

Join Access, Inc. for an interactive afternoon of celebrating womanhood. Discuss what it means to be a woman and celebrate those who came before, and the women of the future.

Allison Adams Tucker’s Women in Jazz

The 10th annual Women In Jazz show will feature international recording artist and multi-lingual vocalist Allison Adams Tucker. She will be joined by talented artists Melonie Grinnell, Jodie Hill, Carmen Murray, and Monette Marino.
